CANADA REQUIRES NURSES.
The Nursing Shortage - The Nursing Workforce

The Canadian Nurses Association's May 2009 report on the health human resources (HHR) landscape, Tested Solutions for Eliminating Canada's Registered Nurse Shortage, provides new projections for how the shortage will grow by almost five times over 15 years. (updated July 2009)
The report shows that if the health needs of Canadians continue to change according to past trends, and if no policy interventions are implemented, Canada will be short almost 60,000 full-time equivalent RNs by 2022.
Canada requires Nurses and Can-Quest can assist you in getting there…..

STEP 1 - IMMIGRATION PROCESSING

Applying to move to Canada to take up work or settle, requires an application for Permanent Residence. Nurses have the option of applying as a Skilled Worker or as a Provincial Nominee. Each has benefits depending on your situation.

Skilled Worker - You must meet the 67 point requirement to qualify and also pass the IELTS English Test. As a skilled worker application, you need not complete any further assessment or testing and based on your point score, documents and our professional services, you would be granted a Permanent Residence Visa for yourself and family to move and live in Canada. This is a cost effective option.

Provincial Nominee- If you wish to apply for Permanent Residence by taking advantage of a pre-arranged job in Canada and you are willing to complete the Pre-Registration process which includes the IELTS English test, you will arrive in Canada with Permanent Residence, a job and nurse certification to work in Canada with your application in process for the CNRE just a step away. Ofcourse, this option is somewhat expensive but a job is part of the package, which gives many of our clients the comfort to leave their home or temporary location and move to Canada.

STEP 2 - PRE REGISTRATION OF NURSES

Can-Quest offers qualified foreign Nurses(RN) the option for pre-registration process to gain access to jobs in Canada while also offering Permanent Residence in Canada for the applicant and family. This is an excellent way for a qualified Nurse to move to Canada, already with the necessary Licensing Requirements in place and ability to take up a job on arrival, which is pre-arranged by Can-Quest. Once at the job and on completion of the CRNE, you have Temporary Registration, which is followed by Full Registration as a RN on completion of 250 hours of supervised work and application formalities.

Can-Quest will assist qualified Nurses in securing registration to practice - Temporary Supervised Registration from the appropriate provincial College of Nurses in Canada. This is done in advance of moving to Canada, in order to assist in securing employment as a Nurse as no employer will consider your application for employment with the registration formalities being completed. Once you start work, you will then in time, sit for the CRNE (Canadian Registered Nurse Examination), which then allows you to work as a fully qualified Nurse in Canada and fully licensed. This option may be taken individually, with Step 2 and has to be taken with Step 3.

(Note: Requirements, durations etc., can vary from province to province)

STEP 3 - EMPLOYMENT

Can-Quest will, with its associate Placement Professionals in the Healthcare field in Canada, secure you a position in nursing at a hospital or care facility. This is a stepping stone to a future career that is highly respected, lucrative and a high growth area, since Canada has an aging population. This option has to be taken with the Pre-Registration but not vice versa.
